The Shinbukan is a classical sogobudo dojo. This means that we  present a comprehensive martial sciences curriculum containing percussion, grappling and weaponry in an fully integrated manner consistent with the classical warrior traditions of Japan. However, we also offer specialized training in  Bukijutsu (classical & modern weaponry), Swordsmanship (kenjutsu) and Menkyo Technologies of classical bujutsu. The adult programs are first class opportunities to study authentic martial arts/sciences, learn effective strategies for personal protection and to develop the attitude, skills and philosophy for long-term viability and excellence in every aspect of living.
